Megan & Natalie Page 8
I’m rushing to work and need to stop and get me my morning latté and bagel. As I’m coming out the coffee shop with my breakfast, I bumped right into Bernadette. I have no idea that she’s Natalie’s, baby father’s, girlfriend. Man that shit sound crazy. Anyways, my crisp white shirt is now stained with coffee.
“I’m so sorry sir. I didn’t see you.” She covered her mouth with her hand. She’s so embarrassed.
I smile and notice how beautiful she is.
“It’s okay, things happen.”
“Please let me pay for your shirt to be dry cleaned,” she insists.
“No, you’re absolutely fine. No need too.”
“Maybe, I can treat you to dinner instead?” She’s persistent and I like that.
“I’m married but the offer is very pleasant.”
“I’m just trying to apologize and treat you to dinner, not steal you from your wife.” She grinned and I noticed how pretty her smile is.
“Sure, how about lunch then?” I finally gave in.
Bernadette and I switched phone numbers and around twelve noon we had lunch together. Later that night, I checked into a hotel with her. I told Megan that I was working late and she never questioned me. She trusts me. I can’t believe that I’m about to cheat on my wife. In all the years I’ve been with Megan, I’ve never cheated on her. I know it’s wrong but Bernadette makes everything feel so right. One night with Burnie wouldn’t be any harm, right?
When we arrive at the hotel and pop open a bottle of champagne. “Mmmm this tastes really good Foster,” says Bernadette. She places the glass down and sits on the full size bed. She takes off her pumps and lies back on the bed. I stand by the door with my hands in my pocket. I still have time to back out and leave. I want to leave but my feet stay planted to the floor. I feel like I’m glued in one spot.
Bernadette starts to slowly undress out of her clothes. She looks me in my eyes the entire time. She’s now lying in the bed with a pink lace bra and panty set.
She took her pointer finger and motioned for me to join her in bed.
I unbutton my shirt that I changed at my office. I slowly unbuckle my pants and let them fall to my knees. I can’t believe I’m standing in front of a complete stranger in nothing but my boxers. I look down at my boxers and my manhood is begging to be freed. I also notice that these boxers are the ones Megan just bought me for our two year anniversary. I shake the thoughts out of my head and pull my boxers down. Megan licks her lips and seductively hops off the bed and smugly walks to her purse. She put her phone on silent and grabs a black box out of her purse. It’s cocaine! She took a hit and looks at me smiling.
“Wanna try a line?” Her voice is so sexy.
“Um, sure let me get one.” I can’t believe what I’m saying but I want to do something out of the box for once. I’ve always played by the book.
I look at the cocaine and then at Bernadette. She is grinning. I notice she is already feeling her high.
“I take my pointer finger and push my right nostril close while I inhaled the line through my left nostril. The shit immediately made me feel good.
Burnie pulls out a small mint box and offers me one. I quickly take two and chew them.
“What kind of mints are these?”
She chuckles. “These aren’t mints baby, its ecstasy pills silly.” Bernadette takes two; puts the mint box and box of cocaine back into her purse.
I’m feeling like I’m on cloud nine.
She slowly walks up to me and drops to her knees. She takes my manhood into her warm mouth. My knees feel like they are going to buckle. The shit feels so damn good. I held the back of her head and started moaning. She is slobbering and moaning as she continues to turn me on.
I pick her up and lay her on the king sized hotel bed.
I unhook her bra and pull her panties down. I drape her legs over my shoulders and I slowly inserted my manhood inside of her warm center. She moans and closes her eyes. I pinch her nipples and slowly start to pick up speed. Bernadette’s eyes roll into the back of her head. She’s moaning my name and telling me that I’m hitting it good. Megan and I haven’t been having much sex so I tried to last until Bernadette got hers.
“Girl you feel so damn good,” I moan out in pleasure.
“I’m cumin’ baby,” says Burnie.
We explode together.
Afterwards I immediately felt guilty. “Bernadette, I forgot to use a condom. Go pee, I came inside of you.”
“It’s okay, I’m on the shot. I can’t get pregnant,” says Bernadette as she slides under the hotel sheets.
“Are you sure? I can’t have a baby with you. You know I’m married. I’ve never did any shit like this before.”
“I can tell. It’s okay. I’m not judging you. Come lay next to me, you’re killing my high.”
I did as she said and never uttered another word about cheating on my wife.
Ever since that day we’ve kept seeing each other and I continued doing cocaine. I occasionally popped an ecstasy pill too. The drugs clouded my judgment and I still can’t believe that I left my wife for Bernadette. I’m paying for my mistakes. I want Megan back.

“Foster? Are you listening to me?”
I’m daydreaming the entire time I’m supposed to be bathing Burnie.
“Yeah, what did you say? I’m sorry.”
“I said what are you cooking for dinner? I’m hungry.”
I felt like a damn maid, chef, and servant for Bernadette. Something has to change. I can’t live my life like this.
Chapter 27 - Megan
“It’s been a few days after my baby shower and I’m tempted to text Kevin but I want him to pursue me. I want to feel wanted. Plus, I have this silly little rule where I felt if a guy asked for your number, he should call or text you first. I didn’t go out my way to ask him for his number; it was the other way around.
Natalie was at work and Courtney was at school. I took the time to clean the apartment. I’m so grateful for Natalie and all that she has done for me. I’m sweeping the kitchen floor when my cell phone vibrated and started playing my favorite ring tone. I sat the broom against the wall and wobble over to my cell phone. I quickly read the text.
Kevin: Hey beautiful. Are u free tonight? Dinner on me?
I smile. I think I thought him up which is why he called.
I reply.
Megan: Yes, I’m free.
Kevin: Tonight at 7pm good 4 u?
Megan: That works for me! See you then =)
I’m grinning from ear to ear. I can’t wait to see him. I still feel funny going out on a date when I’m still legally married.
I know Foster is planning to divorce me but he’s the father of my unborn child. After everything Foster has done to me, I didn’t love him anymore. How could he truly love me and disrespect me the way that he has?
***
I’m driving my car to this fancy and upscale restaurant. I’m wearing a white and gold dress with my gold Kimora Lee Simmons heels. I’m now 37 weeks and ready to give birth any day now! Natalie helped me with my makeup and I feel beautiful.
I gave my car to the valet and walk inside the five star restaurant. The atmosphere is calming and soothing. Smooth jazz and R&B plays on the surround sound speakers.
I approach the receptionist and ask for Kevin’s name. He guides me to our table and tells me that Kevin called and is five minutes away. I gave the waiter my order of Pinot Grigio wine. My gynecologist said I’m allowed to have a glass of wine here and there.
I patiently sat and waited for Kevin and my wine.
After a few minutes, my wine arrives and so does Kevin. He’s looking so dabber in his outfit. He’s sporting a nice sky blue casual shirt and black slacks. He approaches the table and kisses the back of my hand.
“Hello beautiful. I’m so sorry I’m late. I was stopped by a train. Did you order yet?”
“Yes, a small glass of wine. I thought you weren’t going to show.” I look down at my hands that are
folded in my lap.
“Baby girl, I wouldn’t have missed this date for anything in the world. I couldn’t wait to see your face. Are you sure you‘re able to drink wine?”
I blush and smile. I gaze into his eyes and there’s nothing but sincerity and genuineness in his beautiful brown eyes.
“Yes, every now and then I can have a small glass. I don’t go overboard. Thank you though, you’re so thoughtful.”
“So, what do you think you’re going to order?” Kevin is scanning the expensive menu.
“Um, I’ve been craving any type of seafood. My doctor said that I can have it, just in moderation. I would love some shrimp.”
“You’re just a little risk taker huh? Well beautiful, if it’s shrimp you want, shrimp you get.”
Kevin is AMAZING! I learned he’s 32, no kids, ex wives, crazy baby mothers or drama in his life. He makes his own money and has a big condominium. He’s looking to settle down and he’s not frightened that I’m pregnant and in the mist of a divorce. He’s just too perfect.
Our date is going well until I spotted Foster! Foster and I made eye contact and I looked at the woman next to him and it isn’t Bernadette!
Chapter 28 - Natalie
Megan is out on her date with Kevin and I waited for Chauncey to come over. Courtney is spending the night with a friend from school. I ordered pizza and have some wine chilling in the refrigerator.
Right on schedule, Chauncey knocks on the door. I quickly answer and I’m so happy to see him. I throw my arms around his neck and kiss him on the lips.
“I’ve missed you baby. Come in.” Chauncey enters the apartment and takes his shoes off.
“I’ve missed your fine ass too woe.” We hug and he grabs my ass. I love that shit!
“I grabbed some movies for us to watch. I got your favorite movie, “Why Did I Get Married“. You know I don’t like these Tyler Perry movies but I’ll watch it with you.” He smiles and wraps his arms around my waist.
Chauncey and I have a lovely evening together. We ate pizza, watched a few movies and had some great wine. We ended the night together in my bed.
***
During the middle of the night, I went to pee and heard Chauncey’s phone blowing up with text messages. I look over at Chauncey who is snoring and in a deep sleep. I decide to be noisy. I quickly scan the text messages and they’re all threats. My mouth drops open. I run and turn on the room light.
“Chauncey, Chauncey wake up!” Chauncey slowly opens his eyes and tries to adjust to the light.
“Damn woe, what’s up? Why you waking a nigga up like this. You good?”
“No, Chauncey I’m not. I was coming from the bathroom and your phone was blowing up with text messages. Somebody is threatening you and I’m afraid for your life.”
Chauncey grabs the phone and scrolls through the text messages.
“Bay, I’m not worried about some cell phone gangsta. I’ve never been the type to be scared over what a bitch or a nigga say.”
He erases the text messages and pulls me closer to him.
“You stay looking out for me baby. I love your ass for that.”
He kisses me on the lips and we made love the rest of the entire night.
Chapter 29 - Megan
“I’m sorry what happened earlier. That’s my ex I told you about. He’s going through a lot of personal issues with drugs and he’s not in his right mind. I’m so embarrassed. Our first date was ruined thanks to me.”
“Hmmm, I thought this wasn’t a date,” Kevin said jokingly.
I smile and look out the window.
“How about we go back to my place and I cook you a nice dinner. The night is still young, it’s only eight o’clock.”
“Yeah, sure. Just don’t try anything funny!” I looked at him smiling.
He makes me feel so comfortable and I feel like I have known him for quite some time.
We pull up to a nice condo complex. It’s in a gated community. Kevin parks his Benz into his personal car port and we make our way to his condo. Inside his place, it’s decorated so nicely. It smells good too. I look around, noticing the many great pieces of art work on his wall. He has granite counter tops and top of the line kitchen appliances.
“Nice place. Did you do the decorating yourself?”
“I hired an interior decorator. I just gave the company my vision and my likes and they did everything else. Have a seat. Make yourself comfortable.”
“Thank you.” I gently sat down on his sofa while Kevin washes his hands and immediately began cooking. Kevin prepares Salmon croquettes, fresh salad, and buttered rolls.
“Mmmm, this smells delicious,” I say eyeing the food.
We sat down at his kitchen table and I can’t wait to dig in.
“Do you mind if I say grace?” Says Kevin politely.
“Oh, I don’t mind at all. I wasn’t actually going to suggest it,” I reply shyly.
“Well in that case, will you like to bless the food,” says Kevin reaching out for my hand. We hold hands.
“I don’t mind at all. God is grace and God is good, let us thank him for our food. Amen,” I open my eyes and lift my head back up.
“That was nice,” says Kevin stabbing his salad with his fork.
“Thank you. My grandmother Rosie always had us say our grace that way. So, who taught you how to cook?”
“My mom did. She loved cooking, God rest her soul. She had Alzheimer’s. She was an amazing woman. Everyday after school she would let me help make dinner with her. I would stand on one of the dining room chairs and help wash the collard greens or skin potatoes. She would let me do the measuring for certain ingredients. One of my favorite memories with her. My parents were married for 26 years. I have one brother and one sister. My dad is in a nursing home. I visit him every weekend. My brother is in the Navy and my sister lives in California. She just got married. So, what about you? Tell me a little something about yourself.”
“I’m so sorry about your mother. I never knew my parents. My grandmother raised me. She’s gone on home with the good Lord. My grandmother is the reason I learned how to cook. I can throw down in the kitchen too now. I love to cook and try different things. I believe that’s why I’m not a picky eater. So, why aren‘t you snatched off the market yet? Are you crazy or taking medication for some weird mental illness?” We started laughing.
“Very funny but no, I just throw myself into my work full time that I hardly date. No woman has really caught my eye until now,” said Kevin smiling at me.
I’m blushing. “It doesn’t bother you that I’m pregnant and going through a divorce?”
“If it doesn’t bother you, then it doesn’t bother me. It’s something about you that drew me in. I love to see you smile. Even through all the mess you’re going through, I still want to get to know you.”
Kevin walks over to his stereo system and puts on some smooth R&B music. The mellow voice of Luther Vandross played delicately through the speakers.
“May I have this dance?” Kevin extends his hand to me.
“Yes you may. Dinner was delicious by the way.” I grab his hand.
“Thank you baby.”
Kevin led me to the middle of the living room floor and pulls me close. He kisses my forehead as we sway to the music. His Gucci cologne smells so good as I nuzzle my head under his chin. I feel so comfortable in his arms. I look up into his eyes and smile. “This is really nice.”
We continue to dance. I laid my head on his chest and we danced through three songs. I didn’t want the moment to end.
After we finish dancing, we sat on the sofa and continue to talk. Kevin and I talked for hours getting to know each other. We talked about work, religion, hobbies, and family. He’s a perfect gentleman. He never judges my current situation or looks down on me. He is perfect! God couldn’t have sent him at a better time.
Chapter 30 - Foster
I couldn’t believe Megan was out on a date. That shit crushed my heart. I now can imagine what
she’s feeling like, when she found out that I was cheating. I haven’t seen Megan in months and she looked beautiful as ever. She was glowing and smiling. It just hurt that I was no longer the reason why she was smiling. When I saw them two eating dinner together I quickly excused myself from my meeting with a potential client.
“Will you excuse me for just a quick second Danielle?”
“Yes, of course.”
I quickly rise from my seat and walk over to Megan and her guest.
“Um, Megan what are you doing?”
“Foster, what are you doing here? I’m having dinner. Can you please go away?” Megan is very surprised to see me.
The gentleman that she’s with is eyeing me strangely.
“Megan, get up and let’s go. You’re my wife and you’re out on a date.”
“Foster are you crazy? We aren’t together anymore. Now go away!” Megan is trying to keep her voice down and I could tell I’m embarrassing her.
“Look man, can you excuse us so that we can continue our dinner? It appears to me that she doesn’t want to be bothered with you. You had your chance.” The gentleman she’s with stands up and looks me directly in the eyes. Megan stood up and got between us.
“Kevin, let’s leave. Were causing a scene.”
I stand back to give Kevin some room. I didn’t want to embarrass Megan anymore than I have. I want to bust this dude right in his dome but I resisted. Kevin threw two hundred dollar bills on the table and I watched my wife walk out the restaurant arm in arm, with another man.
“Is everything all right Foster? Asked Danielle.
“I have a family emergency. Is there any way that we can reschedule this meeting for a later date?
“Sure, just call my office later this week and let me know what day you’re free.”
I shook my head okay and handed her money for the bill. I quickly dash out the restaurant. I’m going to follow Megan.
***
After walking out the restaurant, I see that Megan and Kevin are still waiting for their car to be brought around. I make sure to keep my distance so that they wouldn’t see me.
